Speed-Net is now making numerous new vServer images available. We are expanding our hosting portfolio with modern operating systems for a wide range of requirements – whether for web servers, business applications or development environments.
The updated image offering includes stable LTS versions as well as current releases. All images are pre-configured, performance-optimised and ready for immediate deployment. They enable high performance, maximum availability and easy management via our web panel.
In addition to the pre-configured images, you also have the option to upload your own ISO files to install custom operating systems. This option supports special setups and test environments with full control over the server environment.
The automated installation enables a vServer to be deployed within minutes via the customer portal. Choose your desired operating system, configure your resources and your server is ready for immediate use.
Do you have questions about the new images or need support with the setup? Our support team is happy to help – around the clock via our ticket system.
If you decide on a different image at a later date, reinstalling your vServer is possible at any time via the customer portal. Please note that this deletes all existing data on the server – so back up important data externally beforehand.
For beginners and most web projects, we recommend AlmaLinux or Ubuntu – both offer a large community, regular updates, and broad software compatibility. If you already have experience with enterprise environments, Oracle Linux or Rocky Linux are good choices. Windows Server is particularly suited for .NET applications or when a graphical user interface is required.
Not sure which to choose? Our support team is happy to advise you, free of charge and with no obligation, on which image best fits your project and prior experience.
Regardless of which image you choose, at Speed-Net you always get an up-to-date, cleanly pre-configured system with full root access, which you can further customize and set up entirely according to your own preferences.
This saves you valuable setup time and lets you focus on actual development of your project from the start, instead of getting held up by basic configuration.
